Past negative life experiences can influence our character and make us who we are. These experiences can have a detrimental affect in the way we think, feel and act. One of the most common causes for social phobia, agoraphobia and general anxiety disorder is negative conditioning of the mind through experiences and thoughts. Many people find that mental health deteriorates over time and symptoms of anxiety and panic become worse.
If you go to your doctor you are unlikely to be advised on how to prevent panic attacks, rather you will be prescribed medication which isn't a good solution in the long run. As humans we don't have our fate sealed, because what we do now affects what happens in the future. Most truly successful people have gotten to where they are because they continued despite of constant failure and they didn't stop. Even if you've suffered in the past it is still possible to change and be the person you want to be.
You can even create new positive experiences using the imagination alone. Your nervous system cannot tell the difference between real and imagined success. When we dwell on failure and negative thoughts it becomes a real experience, causing unnecessary stress, anxiety and worry. People often unintentionally use their own imagination against them, but it's using it for them that people don't do enough.
Everyone can learn to stop or replace negative thoughts with positive ones. The more this is put into practice the more positive change. Also, changing the way you perceive yourself can have a deep impact on your character. Through positive thinking we can develop healthier attitudes towards ourselves. Thankfully there are therapies such as CBT which can help with this as well as offer panic attack relief. People find that CBT is more effective than medication since it helps to recondition behaviors that cause anxiety.
A positive attitude to life experiences is important to help you succeed in conquering anxiety. People have a choice to how negative experiences are dealt with. A person who has a strong self-efficacy faces problems with enthusiasm, and is reluctant to give up.
Many individuals who are successful appreciate that failure comes with success and see it as a way to learn and do things better and differently. Changing habits only takes time and practice, and the more you do, the more you will become that individual you desire to be.
Like I said before, the body and mind respond to vivid imagery just as if it were a real occurrence. Practice visualizations everyday for confidence and coping with anxiety, imagining your ideal self in every way. Another important part of development is setting goals in life, but don't forget the small ones. It's good to have big dreams but without making smaller goals you will find it difficult to stay on track.
Acting happy and positively even if you don't feel like it will have an affect on you as well as others around you. When you make others feel good it should make you feel good in return. Don't be afraid to share your feelings with people who are close to you but also be a good listener too. Having a positive attitude in life will not only help you in Managing Panic Attacks and anxiety it will help you reach your dreams.
