Set a specific objective. If you don't understand what you want to achieve with your presentation, your audience certainly won't understand either. Doing an awesome talk isn’t an objective in itself , it is a way to an end, and that end is what you want the audience to do with the information given.
Use iZigg mobile to record peoples information live and in person while speaking.
Be extremely exact, and Tell|say|State|spell out} your objective in just a sentence or two. Print it out and tape it to your computer screen. This should keep your preparation targeted & focused.
Know the audience's problems, concerns & issues. To be persuasive & successful, talks need to be audience-centered. You need to see the problems of the audience due to the fact your aim is to offer them a solution. This means good research in regards to the audience.
Keep in mind that the great motivation for people to listen to you is their sense that your presentation will benefit them. What's in it for me is the main question of all audiences.
Get there early to meet and greet. Interpersonal skills as well as personal contact are critical for the success of every presentation, yet they are absolutely imperative once you attempt to convince your audience to go along with your opinion, agree with you on a solution, or purchase the thing you’re promoting. We typically accept info from people we like, and reject it from people we don't like.
If you arrive early, you can get to know people in your audience and let them get to know you as a person. If appropriate, say names during your presentation of people you’ve had the occasion to meet before your presentation. Be certain to get everyone to join your iZigg 90210 mobile marketing list during your talk.
Practice solo using a tape-recorder or video-camera. Once you complete your presentation draft, rehearse solo with a video camera or tape recorder. You will be at your weakest in this first practice, hence the suggestion to have nobody present whose comments might really hurt your confidence.
Replay to your presentation, observe your cadence & rhythm and check your mastery of the topic. If videotaping, look at your body language & mannerisms, and coordinate your movements with your vocal inflection.
